Community Hub: Browse & Install Tools, Modes & Apps

The Community Hub is a one-click marketplace inside Caiioo and at caiioo.ai/hub. Browse thousands of tools, modes, MCP servers, skills, and full apps built by the community and Caiioo team. Install what you need in seconds. Everything syncs across your devices.

What You Can Install

Tools

Integrations for services like Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub, Atlassian, PandaDoc, and Microsoft 365. Tools bring actions into Caiioo—send a message, create a ticket, read a document.

Modes

Pre-configured AI personalities. Use Caiioo for Legal (ships with 15 legal skills and buy/sell-side playbooks), or install specialized modes for design, sales, engineering, and more.

MCP Servers

Connect remote MCP servers over HTTP/SSE, or run desktop tools (local MCP via the desktop app) on your own machine. The Hub ships with 18 self-registering MCP servers you can install with one click.

Skills

Reusable prompts for tasks you do often—market research, legal analysis, design feedback. Many Hub apps include skill bundles you install along with the main package.

Reference Materials

Template attachments (PDFs, Slate docs, playbooks) drop straight into your library when you install. Example: Legal playbooks land in your attachment library ready to use.

How to Install

  1. Go to Settings > Tools, Modes & Apps > Community Hub (or visit caiioo.ai/hub)
  2. Browse or search for what you want
  3. Click Install
  4. If the package needs sign-in (OAuth), a new tab opens with "Opening sign-in for X…"

Multi-provider installs are smart: If you install a package that needs multiple sign-ins (say, Slack + Notion), the sign-in tabs open sequentially, not all at once. After install, the Hub Readiness banner (sticky banner above chat) shows you what's still waiting on sign-in. If only one provider is pending, clicking it takes you straight to its Credentials Vault entry.

Cross-Device Sync

Install on your Mac? It appears on your iPhone (and vice versa). Personal forks sync too. Per-package vector clocks prevent overwrites, so you never lose changes if you install offline.

Install Links (caiioo:// Protocol)

See an install link online or in an email? Click it and Caiioo handles the rest. If you have the extension and native app both, a picker appears—choose which to use. The install modal shows the full per-package payload (tools, modes, skills, MCPs, variables, reference materials) before you commit.

My Apps: Fork and Customize

Want to tweak a Hub app for your workflow? Fork it.

In Settings > Tools, Modes & Apps > My Apps:

  1. Find a Hub app you want to customize
  2. Click Fork (creates a personal copy with full edit access)
  3. Edit its primitives: tools, skills, modes, cards, views, workflows, template attachments, variables
  4. Changes sync across your devices
  5. The original Hub app stays in the Hub; your fork stays in My Apps

You can also snapshot a conversation into a draft personal app — handy when you've built a specialized workflow and want to save it for reuse.

Variables Dialog

Hub apps can include a variables dialog. When you install an app with variables, a composer button appears labeled with the app name. Click it to surface the app's custom variable UI. This is how Hub apps let you configure things like "my Slack workspace" or "my legal jurisdiction" without diving into settings.

Hub Readiness Banner

After installing packages, a sticky banner appears above chat showing sign-in status. Example: "Install complete. Sign in to Slack to continue…". If multiple providers need sign-in, they queue in order. Click any pending item to jump to its Credentials Vault entry.

Overlap Warnings

Installing a package that duplicates existing modes, skills, or tools? The install screen shows a warning with overlap details, and you'll see per-row duplication indicators in the Hub list and in your Settings inventory.

Uninstall Everything at Once

Uninstall a package and it removes everything: modes, composer buttons, skills, template attachments, mode-variable patches, cached system-disable list, and the active mode if it came from that package. You're left clean.

Availability

  • Free tier: A few free-tier-compatible packages install on Free; most require Pro
  • Pro tier and above: Full Hub access. Install tools, modes, skills, MCPs, and reference materials
